This will be followed by drinks and nibbles.
The “Wedding Breakfast” (Dinner for you Americans) will follow.
From 20:00 - Midnight we’ll have a wedding party with a live band and dancing, including a ceilidh. There will be more food later in the evening, along with a bar

Evening guests to arrive at 19:00.

GETTING THERE:

Neidpath Castle is just on the west side of Peebles in the lovely Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders. It’s a mountain biking Mecca that hosted last year’s UCI World Championships and we love it. It’s a 45 minute drive from central Edinburgh.

The nearest airport is Edinburgh (EDI), although Glasgow (GLA) is only an hour further away. Trains come to Edinburgh Waverley station from all over Britain. The X62 Borders Bus goes between Edinburgh and Peebles/Tweed Valley during the day.

It is strongly recommended that you book your taxi for your return journey in advance.

ACOMMODATION RECOMMENDATIONS:

Most of the nearest available accommodation is in Peebles, (5 min) Glentress (8min), Innerleithen (16 min), Eddleston (12 min).

NOTE that the Edinburgh Fringe & International Festivals run from 2nd to 25/26th of August. We love it and recommend it, but it does make accommodation more difficult to find.
Also, very recent laws have made short-term rentals such as Airbnb and apartments more limited and expensive- so book early.

We realise that many of you are coming a very long way to celebrate our wedding with us and may stay longer before or after to enjoy Scotland. We will suggest a few fun things to do for you and you can contact us for more recommendations as well.
